The factory lower mount does an excellent job of isolating the chassis from engine vibrations, producing a comfortable ride. Unfortunately, the soft rubber bushings used to accomplish this are less than ideal for enthusiastic driving and even worse as horsepower levels are increased. Many will experience excessive drivetrain movement/banging or premature failure of the stock mount.
You can now eliminate all of these problems with a CFM Performance Lower Engine Torque Mount. This mount features a strong body made from billet aluminum and is anodized in black to withstand anything you throw at it. Unlike most mounts on the market, we utilize a one-piece polyurethane bushing for maximum strength and durability. This mount can handle some serious abuse and then some!
We offer two different bushing options to suit your needs:
Street: Ideal for daily drivers or part-time track cars. The 68A durometer bushing is the apex of balancing performance with comfort.
Race: These bushings are for serious enthusiasts. Whether it's a true track car or a performance beast, the race bushings allow for little slop with its 85A durometer bushings. It should be noted that the NVH experienced with the race mount will be higher than the street bushings, but this is a necessary trade-off once you've surpassed daily driver status.
*NOTE* While we've engineered the street bushing to be balanced as best as possible, please bear in mind that due to the nature of polyurethane bushings, NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) translated to the cabin will be slightly increased. This is a small trade-off for the massive performance increase gained. If all your other mounts are polyurethane (driver upper and passenger upper) you WILL notice a greater increase in NVH. This is true and even more so prevalent with the much stiffer race bushings.
