CFM Performance now makes it easy to vent the crankcase on your engine with our new billet valve cover baffled breather kit. This kit is universal for any valve cover with a 1.2" diameter port. New rubber grommet supplied with breather.
Our push in breathers are offered with two different options:
With check ball - Air is only allowed to exit the crankcase. It cannot enter the crankcase. This option is used with a PCV system which already has another source for air to enter the crankcase when under vacuum. Also used in applications with a mass air flow sensor so that unmetered air does not enter the crankcase.
Without check ball - Air is allowed to exit and enter the crankcase. This option is used when the PCV system needs a source for air to enter the crankcase when under vacuum. Can be used in applications where the PCV system has been deleted.
This breather is the ONLY one in the market which incorporates a check valve to keep unmetered air from coming through while the crankcase is under vacuum. In other words, this breather acts just like a factory oil cap under normal driving conditions and when you get into boost it will release any crankcase pressure present. Model without check valve also available.
The proprietary internal baffle substantially reduces oil particle travel without affecting air flow. The filter element is washable and has a variety of top finishes for great looks. The pre-oiled cotton fiber traps dirt particles without restricting air flow. Although this kit was designed for use in racing applications, it works and looks great in any engine compartment.
