NOTE: Single mass flywheels are known for increasing the level of audible transmission "gear rattle" mainly while the engine is at idle speed and with the transmission in neutral.  Our steel flywheel will transmit less of this noise than the aluminum version.  It is also possible to eliminate most of the noise by raising the idle rpm by a few hundred.

The FX350 System uses the Power Plus I Pressure Plate with Clutch Masters New Formula Button disc. This clutch is designed for the street enthusiast or weekend racer who plans to abuse their vehicle on an occasional basis and have a spirited driving style. The FX350 clutch system has a higher holding capacity than a segmented Kevlar lining without compromising the street friendly characteristic Clutch Masters is known for. For year’s enthusiast have had to compromise durability for drivability and vise versa, however with Clutch Masters New Formula button we have closed the gap between these two tradeoffs

Aluminum Flywheel (10.5lbs)

Typical benefits of a lightweight flywheel for various engine types:
• Reduced mass equals increased acceleration.
• A lightweight flywheel works particularly well with turbo-charged engines because it reduces typical turbo lag.
• Improved mid-range torque in a normally aspirated engine due to not having to overcome the heavy weight of a stock flywheel.
• CM uses only 6061-T6 aircraft grade or better billet aluminum in the manufacturer of its flywheels.
• CM uses A36 steel for the friction surface.
• CM uses an OEM steel ring gear secured by bolts.
• CM offers a limited lifetime warranty.

An excellent performance upgrade. Because aluminum is lighter than steel, Clutch Masters are able to produce aluminum flywheels utilizing stock dimensions. Aluminum flywheels are perfect for road racers looking for quicker revs. It is also a nice complement for turbocharged cars experiencing lag.

Billet Steel Flywheel (16.7lbs)

The billet steel flywheel weighs less than the factory dual mass flywheel. It weighs in at 16.7lbs and the factory flywheel is 23.5lbs. The billet steel flywheel option is for someone that is seeking a heavier mass flywheel or is concerned about the added noise of an aluminum flywheel. A billet steel flywheel would have less noise when compared to an aluminum flywheel.
